Placement Testing

Asian Languages and Cultures Department Placement Testing

Placement testing for Chinese, Japanese, and Korean is offered online through Rutgers e-Learning at placement.elearning.rutgers.edu. After completing your online placement test, you may be asked to provide additional information or subject to additional testing. If you have trouble accessing the online placement test, contact Rutgers Testing and Placement to request access.

 The Chinese, Japanese, and Korean online placement tests will close at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, January 14 for Spring 2026 registration.
