We are an interdisciplinary department that welcomes students interested in studying the civilizations of China, Japan, Korea, and Southeast Asia. Our undergraduate and graduate curricula offer courses in the humanities disciplines of literature, visual culture, history, religion, language, and linguistics. Our undergraduate and graduate programs draw on the strengths of a distinguished faculty with over thirty members working in various fields of Asian studies. Our faculty works closely with students and tailor their mentoring to each student’s intellectual and professional needs.
