Chia-ling MEI 梅家瑩
Distinguished Professor, National Taiwan University
Chia-ling Mei is a Distinguished Professor in the Department of Chinese Literature at National Taiwan University. She was the Director of the Institute of Taiwanese Literature, Chair of the Department of Chinese Literature, Director of the Taiwan Research Center in the College of Liberal Arts, and President of the Taiwan Chinese Literature Association. She currently serves as the Director of the Center for Modern Chinese Civilization Studies at National Taiwan University. Her research interests cover modern and contemporary Chinese literature, text and illustration, and cross-media studies. Her major publications include: The Sound of Modernity: From Taiwan to East Asia, Youth: Writing and Visual Culture in Taiwan, Sound and Script: Taiwanese Literature in a Sinophone Context, The World’s Language Art of Taiwan Literature: Imagination and Life, and Historical Change in Taiwan Literature.
梅家瑩,臺灣大學中國文學系特聘教授,曾任臺灣文學研究所所長、中國文學系主任、文學院臺灣研究中心主任、臺灣中國文學學會理事長,現任臺灣大學現代中國文明研究中心主任。研究領域為現當代文學、文字與圖像、跨媒介研究。主要著作有《現代性的聲音:從臺灣到東亞》、《青春:臺灣的書寫與視覺文化》、《聲音與文字:台灣文學與華語語系文學》、《世界的語言藝術:台灣文學的想像與生命》、《台灣文學的歷史變遷》等。
